2015: Mercy Hospital has again been named among the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals®. Also Mercy was ranked third in the metro and fifth in the state and also received regional recognition in three specialty areas, for Gastroenterology & Gastrointestinal Surgery, Orthopedics and Pulmonology, and was rated a high performing hospital for heart failure by the U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 Best Hospital rankings.

2014: Mercy Hospital is proud to announce that a leading healthcare quality consultant has found Mercy to be one the nation's 100 Top Hospitals for large community hospitals and among the top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals for community hospitals. Certified Primary Stroke Center

Mercy Hospital is certified as a Primary Stroke Center by DNV.

Institute for Healthcare Improvement Mentor Hospital designation

Mercy is among fewer than 150 hospitals nationwide designated as a Mentor Hospital by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) for success in preventing two types of hospital-acquired infections.

Chest Pain Center

The Society of Chest Pain Centers awarded accreditation to Mercy's Emergency Department, Heart & Vascular Center and emergency medical personnel for their extensive and coordinated effort to reduce deaths from heart disease.

American Heart Association

Mercy Hospital received a Silver Quality Achievement Award in 2014 for saving lives of those who experience cardiac arrest by following the most up-to-date, research-based guidelines for patient resuscitation.
