    Apple pie bites

    This pre-portioned dessert is the perfect-size bite of something sweet after your meal. Practice moderation by enjoying just one.

    Ingredients

    1 small baking apple, seeded and cut into 8 wedges
    1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
    1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
    2. Unroll crescent roll dough, tear apart and place each crescent triangle on the baking sheet (leaving space between each).
    3. In a small bowl, combine sugars and cinnamon. Mix. Sprinkle evenly over crescent triangles.
    4. Place one apple slice at the short end of each crescent triangle. Roll.
    5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until crescent rolls are light-golden brown.
    6. Serve warm.

    Makes 8 servings
