Changing your mind

If you are uncomfortable with the decision to donate, be honest with yourself. You need to do what's right for you.

Should you change your mind, please tell the transplant coordinator. He or she will talk with you about how you are feeling and will not try to talk you out of your decision.

The coordinator will talk with the recipient in respectful way, protecting your privacy.

Once in a while, the recipient will decide not to go through with the transplant. Should this happen, the transplant coordinator will talk with you, being respectful of the recipient's privacy. Give your loved one support should he or she decide against transplant surgery.
