    The Compassionate Friends

    Minnesota chapters of The Compassionate Friends sponsor support groups and peer counseling for families following the death of a child of any age. Special groups for parents, grandparents and siblings (age 12 and older) meet throughout the state.

    Missing GRACE Foundation

    Missing GRACE Foundation provides support groups and resources for families who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss, infertility and adoption. It also offers education and programs to help reduce the number of infant deaths in America. Missing GRACE Foundation offers online support groups, phone support, GRACE Care Baskets, hospital and home visits.

    GRACE support groups are provided for women and men who have experienced a loss due to ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth, sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and other causes. Please call in advance if you plan to attend. More information can be found at www.MissingGRACE.org.

    Parents of Murdered Children, Inc., Minnesota Hope Chapter

    This chapter's many services for families of homicide victims include monthly meetings, a telephone support network, information about the grief process, a speakers' bureau and accompaniment to court proceedings.

    Coping with the Holidays Retreat for Grieving Parents

    The time between Thanksgiving and the New Year is difficult for grieving people. Join us for this parents-only retreat—a time for moms and dads who have experienced the death of a child of any age, to relax, remember their son or daughter, do therapeutic crafts, and learn about ways to manage their grief. Your loss might be recent or years ago. The retreat will provide a safe place to share stories, receive suggestions for coping during the holidays, and connect with others who have experienced similar losses.

    Infants Remembered in Silence, Inc. (IRIS)

    Since 1987, IRIS has been offering parents, families, friends & professionals support, education, and resources on the death of a child in early pregnancy (miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, etc.), or from premature birth, stillbirth, neonatal death, birth defects, sudden infant death syndrome, illness, accidents and all other types of infant and early childhood death.
    When: Midday support group meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Evening support meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 7-8:30 p.m.

    A GRACE Support Group is a safe place to find community with others who have had a pregnancy or infant loss, or face infertility challenges. The groups are open to individuals and couples looking to work through grief in healthy ways, and to commemorate their loved ones who left this world and the arms of their loving parents too soon.
