    North Suburban Grief Support Coalition: Growing Through Loss©

    The North Suburban Grief Support Coalition sponsors the "Growing Through Loss" series twice yearly, providing an opportunity for individuals to obtain information and support for a variety of loss and grief issues. Each session is complete in itself. Evenings begin with registration at 6:45 p.m. Each session opens with a devotional and a speaker from 7 to 7:45 p.m., refreshments from 7:45 to 8 p.m. and small group session from 8 to 9 p.m. You are invited to attend one or all of the sessions.

    North Heights Lutheran Church hosts a support group that offers a Christian perspective on grief and loss.

    A Time to Remember: Mother Loss Retreat 

    A retreat for women whose mothers have died. Presented by Joanne Dehmer, SSND, and Loyola Spirituality Center. Whether our mother died this year or thirty years ago, we grieve.  Some of us grieve what we had and some of us grieve what never was in our relationship with our mother.  This retreat offers women an opportunity to explore the significance of mother loss.
    When: November 9-10, 2018 OR January 18-19, 2019; Friday 6:30 p.m. through Saturday 4 p.m.

    Transforming Grief Into Growth: Bradshaw Grief Resource Center

    Join us for a six-week series offering individuals and families information, insights, understanding and support thru the grief process, as well as other opportunities to gather with others. Please allow yourself four weeks after a death before attending this group.
