    Grief Education and Support - Downtown Coalition

    The Downtown Coalition for Grief Support, comprised of downtown faith communities, sponsors this series. Each meeting includes an educational presentation or a personal story of grief and recovery, and small group discussions.

    When: Weekly, Saturday 9:30–10 a.m., registration and hospitality; 10–10:30, speaker; 10:30–11:30 discussion groups
    Where: Location rotates each season.

    This group is intended for anyone who has lost someone significant through death and wants support and education around the grieving process.
    When: Tuesdays, 6:30–7:30 p.m.

    Motherless Daughters Retreat – Fall 2018

    Utilizing various activities, workshops, and time to connect with other women who have the shared experience of mother loss through death, the Motherless Daughters Retreat will encourage women to acknowledge and move through their grief with the desired goal of experiencing gratitude and joy in a new way.

    The $450 retreat price includes lodging at an incredible mansion in SE Minneapolis (four shared beds and 2 single beds, participants can indicate roommate preference if known; maximum of 10 attendees), five delicious and healthy meals (Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast) catered by Chef Amy Nadeau, snacks, drinks, and activities/workshops listed below.

    During breaks and free-time, participants are encouraged to express thoughts, feelings, and experiences through writing—journals will be provided.
    When: Friday, Sept. 28 – Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018

    South Minneapolis Coalition for Grief Support

    The South Minneapolis Coalition of Churches sponsors a speaker and small group series.
    When: Thursdays, 6:30 p.m. 
    Where: Rotating through various churches in southern Minneapolis
    Cost: Free

    Spouse Grief Support Group – Mount Olivet

    This group is intended for spouses who have lost their significant other through death and want support and education around the grieving process. 
    When: Tuesdays, 10–11:15 a.m.

    Cost: Donations requested.
