    Heated broccoli Gluten Free Low Sodium

    Lemon juice is a great way to add flavor without adding salt.


    3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1/3 cup chopped shallots
    1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    2 heads broccoli, cut into small florets
    1/4 cup low-sodium vegetable broth
    1 teaspoon lemon juice


    1. In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Stir in garlic, shallots and red pepper flakes. Cook about 1 minute.
    2. Add broccoli florets and toss, cooking for 3 to 4 minutes.
    3. Add vegetable broth. Cover and steam for 3 to 5 minutes.
    4. Spritz or drizzle with lemon juice just before serving. Serve warm.
