This is a recipe for good gut health! The fruits contain plenty of prebiotics (a type of fiber), which “feed” the probiotics (good bacteria) in the yogurt.

    Ingredients

1 medium apple, unpeeled, core removed and chopped
1 medium pear, unpeeled, core removed and chopped
    1/2 stalk celery, diced
    1/2 cup halved grapes
    1/2 cup unsweetened dried cranberries
    1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup low-fat plain Greek yogurt
    1 teaspoon honey
    1 teaspoon brown sugar
    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    pinch ground nutmeg
    1/2 tablespoon mayonnaise

    Directions

    1. In a large bowl, combine apples, pears, celery, grapes, cranberries and walnuts. Toss until well-combined.
    2. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Stir until well-combined.
    3. Pour dressing (made in step 2) over salad mixture (made in step 1). Stir until salad mixture is evenly coated. Place in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
