Ingredients

1/4 cup buttermilk powder
1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons corn starch
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoons dried ground thyme
1/8 teaspoon dried ground basil
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
pinch of cayenne pepper
2 cups water
3 2.6-ounce pouches low-sodium tuna packed in water, drained
3 cups cooked macaroni
1 16-ounce bag frozen mixed vegetables
1/2 cup shredded low-sodium mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine first 9 ingredients. Add water and whisk. Heat on the stovetop over high heat, while whisking, until mixture comes to a boil. Then turn the heat down to medium-high until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and mix in the tuna.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked macaroni, mixed vegetables and tuna mixture (made in step 2). Pour mixture into an oven-safe dish, then sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Bake for 25 minutes or until heated through.
