Banana dessert

Bananas are known to be a good source of potassium but did you know the milk in this recipe has potassium too? Potassium is an important mineral that helps your heart beat and stay healthy.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces vanilla wafer cookies
  • 5 medium bananas, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch-thick slices
  • 3 3.4-ounce boxes banana cream instant pudding mix
  • 6 cups cold fat-free milk

Directions

  1. Place 1 layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom of a 9-by-13-inch pan. Then, place 1 layer of sliced banana on top. Continue alternating between layers of wafers and bananas (about 6 layers total).
  2. Prepare pudding according to package directions.
  3. Pour pudding over layers of vanilla wafers and banana slices.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Cut into 15 pieces.
  6. Serve chilled.
