    Sunshine smoothie Heart Smart Gluten Free Low Sodium

    Fruits are a great source of vitamin C, a vitamin that may help to prevent you from catching the common cold.


    3 to 4 medium oranges, cut in half
    1 cup frozen mango chunks
    1 medium to large banana, peeled and sliced
    1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt


    1. Squeeze juice from orange halves into a liquid measuring cup until you have 1 cup of juice. Pour juice into blender.
    2. Add mango, banana and yogurt.
    3. Blend until smooth.
    4. Serve immediately.

    Makes 4 servings

    Don’t be afraid to get creative with this recipe! Thicken things up by using frozen banana slices instead of fresh, add a boost of protein by replacing the plain vanilla yogurt with Greek vanilla yogurt or add some ice for a slush-like delight!
