Green tea contains antioxidants (polyphenols) that can help prevent damage to your cells.

    3 tablespoons brown rice
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
    4 cups water
4 teaspoons green tea leaves (4 bags)

    1. In a small skillet, heat rice over medium heat until it starts to darken (some black spots). Pour rice into a small saucepan. Add cinnamon, ginger and water. Stir and bring to a boil. Once boiling, turn down heat right away. Cover and allow to steep for 1 minute.
    2. Remove from heat and allow to steep (covered) for 3 more minutes.
    3. Add tea and allow to steep (covered) for another 3 minutes.
    4. Pour through a strainer into a heat-safe pitcher. Throw away the rice and tea leaves.
    5. Enjoy tea hot or over ice.
