    Chai tea Heart Smart Gluten Free Low Sodium

    The spices used in this chai tea can help boost your immune system, keeping the flu bug and sniffles away this season.


    1 cup powdered soy milk
    1 1/4 cups unflavored non-dairy creamer
    3/4 cup French vanilla non-dairy creamer
    2 cups sugar
    1 3/4 cups unsweetened instant tea
    2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    1 teaspoon ground cardamom
    3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger


    1. In a large bowl, stir together all ingredients until well-blended.
    2. Add tea mixture to a blender or food processor, one cup at a time, blending between each addition. Continue until crushed to a fine powder. Store tea mixture in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
    3. To serve: Measure 2 tablespoons of the tea mixture into a mug. Add hot water and stir.
    4. Let cool slightly and enjoy warm.

    If you think a little spice is nice, try adding freshly ground black pepper or ground cayenne pepper, to taste.
