    Shrimp and avocado appetizer Low Sodium

    Most fruits are made up of mostly carbohydrates but avocados are full of heart-smart fats! In addition to improving heart health, the healthful fats in avocados can also help you feel satisfied and fuller for longer.


    16 cracked black pepper water crackers
    1/2 avocado, thinly sliced
    16 medium cooked shrimp, cooled or from frozen
    1 lemon, cut into small pieces (garnish)


    1. On each cracker, place a slice of avocado and piece of shrimp.
    2. Place appetizers on a platter and garnish with lemon.
    3. Enjoy immediately with a fresh squeeze of lemon.
