Negotiations update

  • Information for patients and families

On Thursday, Oct. 13, nurses at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Phillips Eye Institute, United Hospital and Unity Hospital voted yes to the tentative agreement reached earlier this week by Allina Health and the Minnesota Nurses Association.

We are pleased that the contract has been ratified and will return striking nurses to work as quickly as possible. The union is no longer picketing at any of our locations.

All of our hospitals are staffed with highly qualified, licensed and experienced registered nurses who are providing safe, quality care. The strike had no effect on any of our other Allina Health hospitals, clinic or urgent care locations.
