Senior wellness programs

  • Regular physical activity helps lower your risk for a variety of conditions including heart disease, diabetes, colon cancer, high blood pressure, Alzheimer's, dementia and obesity, while improving your mood, too.

Regular activity can also help keep bones and muscles strong, promote good balance and combat frailty.

Exercise doesn't have to be a chore. Physical therapists from Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute make it fun.

    Chair aerobics

Chair aerobics serves as a perfect workout for people with diabetes or those wanting to practice an alternative to regular aerobics.

You do not need any special equipment or clothing. All you need is a chair. A member from our physical therapy staff leads participants through various movements that improve heart health, control blood sugar and strengthen knees, abdomen, ankles, calves, upper body, shoulders and more. All are set to some of the best popular music from past eras.
