    A wide variety of patient services are provided by the physicians and staff of Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists.

    Each physician works with a team of patient care professionals who coordinate all aspects of patient care. Patients undergoing treatment and/or surgery receive ongoing support from our physician assistants, nurses and other members of the care team.

    Patients have access to the collective knowledge of some of the most experienced specialists available. A complete array of diagnostic and treatment and management resources are available, including:

    • Outpatient evaluation and ongoing operative and/or non-operative treatments for patients with shoulder, elbow, knee and hip diseases or trauma
    • Physician consultations for medical professionals to review diagnoses and treatment options with Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists' physicians
    • X-ray evaluations for medical professionals to confer with Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists' physicians
    • Referral to other specialists including medical consultants, radiologists and physical therapists

    Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists serves a large client base from local, regional, national and international communities. We also respect the individual needs of each patient and emphasize their education and personal involvement in the treatment process.

    Sports medicine

    Sports medicine physicians treat a variety of injuries including acute injuries (such as ankle sprains, muscle strains, knee and shoulder injuries, and fractures) and overuse injuries (such as tendonitis and stress fractures). They also have training in aspects of sports medicine that do not involve the skeletal frame and muscles.

    Sports medicine care includes:

    • pre-exercise physical exams for all ages
    • strength training and conditioning programs
    • injury prevention
    • injury assessments and management
    • chronic or acute illness (such as asthma)
    • all kinds of injuries to bones, muscles, joints, tendons or ligaments including over-use, strains, sprains
    • pain management
    • "return to play" decisions
