The Allina CPE Center and Allina Hospice are pleased to share information about an upcoming Clinical Pastoral Education unit in our hospice setting from May 20- August 9. The time commitment is approximately 40 hrs/week, with a little flexibility built-in for some weeks of fewer hours.

This internship offers specialized training in end-of-life spiritual care, emphasizing an experience-reflection model of learning. This invites an effective spiritual care practice that is congruent with who you are as a person and with your theology.

Allina Hospice is the largest hospice provider in the region, and is renowned for our quality of care, from the admission process through the 13 months of bereavement follow-up. Interns will provide spiritual care at our residential hospice facility in Brooklyn Park and as a member of an interdisciplinary team serving in the community.

Driving is a significant part of the work, as is detailed charting in the electronic medical record. Applicants should be comfortable with technology and driving in unfamiliar territory.

Preference is given to students who have completed a prior unit of CPE and/or those with significant pastoral experience, though all applications will be considered.
