Cancer support groups

  • These cancer support groups take place in the Harbor Room Cancer Resource Center, located between the Emergency Department and hospital main entrance of Cambridge Medical Center. For more information, call 763-688-8415.

    Cancer Support and Education Group

    Held every second Tuesday of the month, 3 to 4:30 p.m.

    The group is open to all who have been touched by cancer. Each group will have a new topic/presenter each month for a 30 minute educational component, followed by 45 minutes for support group.

    Look Good Feel Better

    The free program from the American Cancer Society is for women dealing with hair loss and skin changes from chemotherapy and radiation. You will learn techniques to make the most of your appearance while undergoing treatment. You will also take home a makeup package valued at $200. Registration is required for this free program. 

    Men's cancer support group

    Held every third Tuesday of the month, 3 to 4:30 p.m.  Please call the Harbor Room, 763-688-8415 to verify location. Sometimes the guys feel like going for pie!

    Men can discuss anything about their cancer journey or the journey of someone in their life. All men dealing with any cancer in any way are encouraged to attend. Refreshments are provided.

    Harbor Room Cancer Resource Center

    Come visit The Harbor Room for cancer support, resources and services. Scarves, wigs, educational material and support are available. Want to talk? There is always a fresh cup of coffee and a caring ear.
