Winter activities

  • Winter in Minnesota gives many options to get active outdoors. Snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice skating and ice fishing are great ways to keep active during the long Minnesota winter.

    Ice skating

    • Cambridge Skate Park - 635 18th Avenue SW, Cambridge
      Lighted hockey rink, open skating area and warming house, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., daily.
    • North Branch Ice Rink - Northwest corner of Hwy. 95 and Grand Avenue, North Branch
      Lighted hockey rink, open skating area and warming house
      8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily
    • Isanti Ice Rink - 201 Isanti Parkway West, Isanti
      Lighted hockey rink, open skating area
      Weekdays 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
      Weekends 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

    Sledding

    • City Park Sledding Hill - 745 Second Avenue SW, Cambridge
    • Braham Sledding Hill - corner of Highway 65 and County Road 4

    Cross-country skiing

    • Spirit River Cross-Country Ski Trails - 1055 2nd Ave SW, Cambridge
    • Wild River StatePark - A Wild River Youth Nordic Ski Club is available for children 4 to 14 who like to have fun while learning how to cross-country ski (fees apply).
