This medicine causes numbness (loss of feeling) in an area of your body. It is a local anesthetic.

There may be other brand names for this medicine.

When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:

You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to lidocaine hydrochloride (HCl or other types of local anesthetic (numbing medicine). You should not use this medicine if you have an allergic reaction to epinephrine injection.
