Pegaspargase (By injection)

Pegaspargase (peg-AS-par-jase)

Treats cancer of the white blood cells (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) and serious allergic reactions from previous treatment with L-asparaginase.

When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:

You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to pegaspargase, or if you have a history of inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), bleeding problem, or blood clot formation (thrombosis) caused by taking L-asparaginase (Elspar®).
