The Owatonna Hospital Foundation thanks staff members who contributed to the 2017 Community Giving Campaign. Pledges support the healing mission of Owatonna Hospital and important programs and services at the hospital and community.
Community Giving Campaign pledges totaled $24,662. Over $5,000 was given to the Where the Need is Greatest fund, which ensures Owatonna Hospital can respond to emerging needs on the healthcare campus and community.
The Employee Education fund, which provides professional development programs and trainings for staff, received more than $1,000. More than $3,000 was raised for the Honoring Choices program, which helps adults understand Advance Care Planning and also works with health care providers to ensure they offer assistance to all patients and honor end-of-life choices.
Lastly, nearly $4,000 was designated to other funds within Owatonna Hospital Foundation, such as the Employee Emergency Fund, helping employees in crisis and Hope Fund, providing financial assistance to patients who’re actively receiving treatment for breast cancer.
“I’m thrilled with the amount raised,” said Natalie Ginter, director of Community Engagement and Development, Owatonna Hospital. “This campaign demonstrates Owatonna Hospital’s strong commitment to our patients and community.”
Allina Health provides a combined campaign that gives their nearly 28,000 employees the opportunity to make gifts designated to any Allina Health program or foundation, local United Way organizations or any other qualifying nonprofit organization.
Nearly $11,000 was donated to additional Allina Health-supported funds and community non-profits, such as the United Way. In total, Allina Health raised more than $1.5 million to support staff, patients and the communities it serves.
