District One Hospital auxiliary completes several projects benefiting patients

FARIBAULT, Minn. 05/22/2017

The District One Hospital auxiliary recently completed several projects as part of their mission to address health needs in the Faribault community. In April, the auxiliary held their semi-annual gently used accessories sale. This event garnered over $3,200 which will be used is used to purchase supplemental patient-care items.

In addition, the auxiliary together with the Rose and Chuck Dube family donated a Little Free Library book shelf for use in the medical/surgical department.  Volunteers and auxiliary members will keep the library stocked with new and gently used books for use by patients and visitors.

Through Angel’s Attic gift shop, the auxiliary also made a donation of comfortable caps for patients of the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute®-District One Hospital. For information about membership in the Auxilian Advocates for Health, please contact Margaret Colangelo at 507-333-5567.
