Allina Health River Falls Area Hospital to host open house Feb. 18

RIVER FALLS, Wis. 02/14/2017

River Falls Area Hospital, part of Allina Health, will host a free public Complete Women’s Care open house Saturday, Feb. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the hospital, 1629 East Division Street, River Falls. The public is invited to tour areas such as the birth center, imaging department and rehabilitation facilities, and also learn about the many women’s services available on campus. A program featuring health experts will begin at 10:30 a.m., focusing on women’s care topics.

"Women’s care is a major focus for our hospital, with services for women in their teens on up," says David R. Miller, president at River Falls Area Hospital. "When you need care for gynecologic surgery, pregnancy, labor and delivery, menopause or any other service, our hospital staff is really what sets us apart when you walk through our doors. We really want our patients to see the faces behind the care as they make decisions about where to entrust their family health needs."

The open house offers a health scavenger hunt, healthy activities such as yoga for grandparents and grandchildren to participate in together, information booths about services and important health topics like advanced directives, a raffle, prizes, giveaways, food and more.

"The open house is an opportunity to show the wealth of services currently offered at River Falls Area Hospital as we embark upon a new chapter on campus, with the 2017 addition of a new Allina Health clinic. This integrated care model will be a great asset to Western Wisconsin and keeping high quality care close to home for residents," Miller said.

The new Allina Health River Falls Clinic is slated to open in June.
