Allina Health has been named one of the nation's top five large hospital systems by Truven Health Analytics, a leading provider of data-driven analytic solutions and services.
Truven Health Analytics ranked the top five large U.S. health systems (greater than $1.5B in annual revenue) based on balanced, superior system-wide performance in care quality, patient satisfaction, coordination of care, cost of care and operational efficiency.
"While we often are recognized for the quality of the care we provide, this award means a lot to Allina Health because of what it represents that we have done together. We are being honored for the safety, quality, experience and affordability of the care we provide," says Dr. Penny Wheeler, president and chief executive officer of Allina Health.
"Behind each of the figures they analyzed lies real people who were positively affected by the care we provided to them. Our employees and our hospitals are changing lives for the better and I couldn't be more proud that we're being recognized for this important work," Wheeler said.
Earlier this year, Allina Health received two other distinguished recognitions from Truven Health Analytics, including:
- Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Buffalo Hospital, Mercy Hospital and St. Francis Regional Medical Center were named among the nation's 100 Top Hospitals; and
- Mercy's Heart & Vascular Center was named a 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospital.
