Allina Health physicians named Newsweek's Top Cancer Docs

Timothy Sielaff, MD, PhD, FACS, chief medical officer for Allina Health, is on Newsweek's list of "Top Cancer Doctors 2015" for the United States. Dr. Sielaff is a hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeon involved in all aspects of the diagnosis and management of tumors of liver, pancreas and bile ducts. Before he became Allina's CMO, he served as president of Virginia Piper Cancer Institute®.

Patrick Flynn, MD, a cancer specialist with Minnesota Oncology, who practices at Abbott Northwestern and United hospitals, both part of Allina Health, is also on the list. Dr. Flynn is a member of the Executive Committee of the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology. The Association of Community Cancer Centers honored him with the David King Community Clinical Scientist Award for his outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to the oncology community.

According to Newsweek, the physician list was created in conjunction with Castle Connolly Medical LTD, the publisher of America's Top Doctors®. Each year, Castle Connolly receives nearly 100,000 nominations. The list is included in the cancer edition dated July 31.
