Buffalo Hospital offers three free years of health screenings and coaching

Buffalo-area residents are invited to join the free Healthy Communities Partnership. Participants receive free annual health screenings and coaching with wellness specialists for three years. The program is free and open to anyone 18 years of age and older. To get started, the first year's health screenings are offered throughout the fall at Buffalo Hospital, 303 Catlin Street:

  • September 26, 6:30 to 11 a.m.
  • October 29, 6:30 to 11 a.m.
  • December 10, 6:30 to 11 a.m.

People can register for free appointments by calling 763-684-7025. Each appointment takes about 30 minutes and includes blood sugar and cholesterol level checks, body mass index testing and blood pressure and pulse reading. The Healthy Communities Partnership, sponsored by Allina Health's Penny George Institute for Health and Healing with the George Family Foundation, works with communities to get healthy and stay healthy. The Buffalo-area community is one of 13 in the Healthy Communities Partnership.
