Allina Health Hospice, Owatonna, is one of just 100 hospices
out of the 1200 across the nation to receive the Hospice
Honors award. Established by Deyta, an industry leader
in data driven management, the annual honor recognizes
agencies that continuously provide the highest level of
satisfaction through their care as measured from the
caregiver's point of view.
Bill Donovan, manager of Allina Health Home Care Services,
Owatonna branch, credits the award to the dedication of the
hospice team's compassionate, quality, end-of-life care.
"I couldn't be more proud of the Owatonna hospice team," he
said. "I'm not surprised that the team won this award,
because I see the quality services they provide every day."
Agencies were recognized with the Hospice Honors award
based on Family Satisfaction Scores, which are responses to
37 questions answered voluntarily by family members.
"Hospice is very much a part of the continuum of care within
health care services, with a focus on comfort, care and
family support services. This award acknowledges the quality
service being provided our Allina hospice staff," Donavan
said. "Our hospice team sees their work as a calling; they
don't see it as a job."
