Partial hospitalization

  • Adult Partial Hospitalization Program

    Adult group

When you need intensive care for a mental health condition in the community, our adult partial hospitalization program is here.

Our two- to four-week program is directed by a psychiatrist in a group therapy environment to help prevent and reduce hospitalization and support patients in their home environments.

    What it is

Our program entails working with a psychiatrist who:

    • evaluates current medications
    • assesses the need for mediations during the program
    • determines psychological testing needs for further evaluation

Our program offers a group therapy environment to help participants:

    • experience success
    • increase self-awareness
    • develop or improve coping skills
    • develop interpersonal effectiveness
    • increase emotion regulation
    • improve family communication skills
    • improve conflict resolution skills
    • gain access to movement therapy, music therapy, and mindfulness training for some programs
    • manage the emotional effects of complex health conditions
    • learn to manage school, work or family pressures
    • address any issues related to LGBT identity or intercultural adjustments due to race, ethnicity, class and immigration

    Good for treating

    • anxiety disorders
    • self-injury
    • relational issues
    • stress related disorders
