Advanced technologyThe use of the da Vinci® Surgical System - a robotic surgery system - at Unity provides surgeons and patients with an option that can be a more effective and less invasive treatment for lung cancer or other conditions of the lung that require surgery. One of the newest forms of radiation treatment at Unity is stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) or stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) for lung cancer (high dose/short course). This form of treatment delivers high doses of radiation to a very targeted area. This level of precision enables surrrounding healthy tissue to be spared. |
