Friday, with early morning and evening appointments available. Pre-procedure preparationThere is no preparation for this examination. You may go about normal daily activities. Eating, drinking and taking medications will not affect the results of the exam. However, it is recommended not to take calcium supplements the day of the exam. ProcedureThe test takes approximately 45 minutes. You will be instructed by the technologist to lie still on a table while images are being captured. Post-procedureThere are no side effects with this exam. You may resume normal activities immediately after the procedure. Your physician will receive the results and notify you within one week.
