Meet the current residents
Andrew Feld, PharmD
Andrew Feld received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2009. While in Wisconsin, he worked as an inpatient phar-macy technician at the former Luther Hospital, now known as Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. After graduating, Andrew went on to receive his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota--College of Pharmacy Duluth campus in May 2013. During his time in Duluth, Andrew worked as an inpatient pharmacy technician and intern at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Andrew’s interests are primarily in critical care and emergency medicine. His capstone project is the devel-opment of a pre-operative pharmacy pain consult to better manage post-operation pain in patients with chronic pain.
Melissa Katzenberger, PharmD
Melissa Katzenberger received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy this May. Accompanying her Pharm.D., Melissa also graduated with a leadership emphasis and plans to incorporate leadership into her residency. Additionally, she will be serving as the Metro Board Representative for the Minnesota Pharmacists Association (MPhA). Prior to pharmacy school, Melissa attend-ed Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology, with minors in chemistry and spanish. She is originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin and enjoys traveling, cooking and playing softball. Melissa has strong clinical interests in emergency medicine, cardiology and critical care. Her capstone project will focus on the implementation of pharmacy involvement within the medication reconciliation process.
Messiah Moore, PharmD
Messiah Moore is originally from Monrovia, Liberia. He graduated from high school in The Gambia. He then attended a two year International Baccalaureate (IB) pro-gram in Norway. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Upon graduation Messiah worked for a while with two pharmaceutical industries in New Jersey and Pennsylvania as a metrology analyst. He attended pharmacy school at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Messiah was actively involved during pharmacy school. He was a member of the Kappa Psi fraternity, Multi-cultural Pharmacy Student Organization (MPSO) and a leader at the H.O.P.E Clinic, a student-run free clinic for the uninsured and underinsured. In his free time he enjoys going to the gym, playing soccer, basketball and video games. Messiah’s interests are in cardiology and critical care. His capstone project will focus on implementing a pharmacy service to prevent and intervene on patients with risk for or having delirium.
Kandace Schuft, PharmD
Kandace Schuft is originally from North Mankato, Minnesota. She complet-ed her bachelor degree at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus where she majored in biology, society and environment. She recently graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy with an emphasis in leadership. Kandace has worked as a pharmacy technician and intern at Fairview Riverside Outpatient Pharmacy for the past seven years. She has a strong interest in emergency medicine, oncology and leadership development. In her free time, she enjoys running, biking, cooking and traveling. Kandace’s capstone focuses on the development of a system-wide approach for pharmacy handling of oral chemotherapy.
