Meet the current residents

Anna Miller

Anna Miller, PharmD

Anna Miller is originally from Edina, Minnesota. She completed her Bachelor of  Science degree at the University of Minnesota where she majored in food science. Anna then went on to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus, graduating in May 2014. She has worked as a    pharmacy technician and intern for the past six years at Fairview Southdale Hospital’s in-patient pharmacy. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing the piano, and spending time at the Minneapolis lakes. Anna’s primary interests are in infectious disease and emergency medicine. Her home hospital is Unity and she is looking forward to working with the Mercy and Unity teams.


Gina Danielson

Gina Danielson, PharmD

Gina Danielson received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, May 2014. Prior to pharmacy school, Gina     attended the College of St. Benedict as a biochemistry major. Between her college careers, she worked as a research chemist at Ecolab and received design patents on three new products. During pharmacy school, Gina worked as a poison information provider at the Hennepin Regional Poison Control center, where she developed a strong interest in toxicology, critical care, and patient communications. She currently lives in St. Paul, MN with her husband, Mark, and her 2 dogs. Gina enjoys traveling, dancing, movies, spending time with her family, and cooking/baking. Gina’s home base is Mercy Hospital.



Jesse Scheid

Jesse Scheid, PharmD

Jesse Scheid is originally from Andover, MN. He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and biology.  Following graduation, he worked at his family’s machining business before attending pharmacy school at the University of Minnesota. As a student, he worked in the outpatient pharmacy at Cambridge Allina Hospital before graduating with his Pharm.D. in 2014.  In his spare time, Jesse enjoys running, traveling, and following the Minnesota Twins.  Jesse’s primary interests are in behavioral health, critical care, and geriatrics.  He is excited to be centered at Mercy Hospital, and is looking forward to enhancing his clinical skills while working with the staff at Mercy and Unity.




Lucas Nelson

Lucas Nelson, PharmD

Lucas Nelson originally from Caledonia, MN, received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy with Leadership Emphasis on the Duluth campus.  Prior to his time with the U of MN College of Pharmacy he received a Bachelor of Arts at St. John’s University in Collegeville MN with a major in Biology.  His areas of interest include pain management, emergency medicine, oncology, and leadership development.  In his spare time he enjoys sports, cooking, and the outdoors.  He excited about developing his clinical skills in the upcoming year at Mercy and Unity, his home base.
