Cancer care treatments

At United Hospital, our staff stays current with the newest advances in cancer care. While we use the latest technology and treatments to battle cancer, we never forget we’re treating a person, not just a disease.

To address the wide variety of cancer treatment needs, we offer the following:

  • The Breast Center — Women with any breast-related issues can obtain screening, assessment and diagnostic services at The Breast Center. A team of physicians, nurses and specialized staff work with each woman to coordinate her care. A variety of informational and support resources are available including an extensive lending library, support groups, clinical trials and access to genetic counseling.

  • Radiation Therapy Center — Using state-of-the-art radiotherapy services, the Radiation Therapy Center provides a full range of cancer treatment options. These advanced radiation therapy techniques ensure on-site treatment for nearly all types of tumors.

  • Peripheral stem cell transplant program — Part of a nationwide network of cancer treatment programs, the peripheral stem cell transplant program provides advanced cancer treatments to patients on a closely monitored outpatient basis. Treatments include high-dose chemotherapy and peripheral blood stem cell rescue.

  • Neuro-oncology services at Nasseff Neuroscience Center — These diagnostic, treatment, research and teaching services are for adult and pediatric patients with central nervous system tumors. The staff provides coordinated, patient-centered care using a multidisciplinary team approach and latest technology.
