Rehabilitation services

Rehabilitation services for patients begin in the Neuro ICU. Getting started early on rehabilitation helps patients with brain injuries to recover their ability to function and accomplish their goals.

Rehab services are provided by Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute™, part of Allina Health. A doctor (called a physiatrist) who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation evaluates each Neuro ICU patient. Rehab may include physical, occupational and speech therapy.

United Hospital offers an inpatient unit for rehabilitation where patients continue their rehab activities.
