RunSMART video analysis

Due to the high demand on the body that running requires, running injuries are very common. Faulty habits, postural changes and movement strategies for compensation contribute to fatigue, pain and injury.

Digital video analysis captures these patterns and assists with assessment, education and treatment.

The benefits of digital video analysis include:

• real-time frame capture of an individual's running mechanics and form
• measurement of running phases and range-of-motion specific to the demands of running
• immediate visual feedback to assist with education, training and recovery
• quick assessment of gait mechanics and deviations in movement specific to functional tasks
• utilization with AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill
• comparison of progress and change over time.

Initial appointment

The initial appointment is a 90-minute, one-to-one session with a physical therapist, trained in treatment of runners. The session includes:

• health history screen
• biomechanical evaluation to detect musculoskeletal asymmetries
• treadmill video analysis
• footwear analysis and running shoe prescription
• digital video
• review of results
• treatment plan.

Initial appointment cost: $200.00
Subsequent appointment: $45.00

Referral and insurance

Therapy services are typically billed to your insurance. Please contact your insurance company regarding your therapy benefit and obtain a medical referral if required by your insurance plan.
