The Prediabetes class is designed for anyone who has been diagnosed by a health care provider with prediabetes, impaired fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance or metabolic syndrome.

During the prediabetes class participants will:

• Learn about the diagnosis of prediabetes.
• Create a meal plan with good health, lifestyle and personal goals in mind.
• Make a personal physical activity plan.
• Learn how to reduce fat while keeping flavor in your diet.
• Learn how to interpret a food label.
• Develop a plan for reasonable weight loss, if needed.

Class fee: The $40 cost covers the workbook, glucometer and other class materials. Some insurance plans will reimburse patients for this cost.
