Diabetes education: Annual diabetes update

Because information about diabetes is always changing and new tools for managing diabetes are constantly being developed, we encourage our patients to attend this class every year.

Topics that might be covered include:

• new diabetes research
• new treatments
• trends
• further nutritional knowledge
• new products that help with diabetes management
• answers to your questions about diabetes.

Class prerequisites: Before attending the annual diabetes update, you need to have a one-on-one session with a diabetes educator and go through the diabetes basics class series. One year after completing the diabetes basics series, it is recommended that you attend the annual diabetes update yearly.
