Measures of care

Patients and families have a right to know about the quality of care they receive at River Falls Area Hospital. That's why we monitor the quality of our care constantly and use it to guide our quality improvement initiatives. Our standards of care are based on suggestions by non-profit and governmental institutions that base their recommendations on scientific knowledge and research.

We voluntarily participate in several state and national initiatives that allow us to show our performance using information technology for real-time viewing and comparisons.

  • 2010 Hospital of Choice Award by the American Alliance for Health Care Providers. This award recognizes hospitals that go beyond in pursuit of excellence and quality of care.
  • 2010 – Making Medicine Mercury Free Award by Practice Greenhealth, which recognizes facilities that have made significant efforts to be virtually mercury free.
  • 2008 to 2009 Hospital of Choice Award by the American Alliance for Health Care Providers. This award recognizes hospitals that go beyond in pursuit of excellence and quality of care.
