River Falls Area Hospital offers a variety of classes that can help you get or stay healthy.

• Go Kids: Three week training program designed for boys and girls age 7 and above. Class concludes with running the River Falls Days 2 mile run. Call for 715-307-6060 for date and times. Cost is $50 per student. Instructed by Kristi Wagner and area track athletes.

CPR, AED and first-aid classes

River Falls Area Hospital (RFAH) and the River Falls Area Ambulance Service (RFAAS) are teaming up to offer more training opportunities in River Falls. With a wide range of choices, you can learn for the first time or take a refresher class. Books are not included in the price of the class but can be purchased for $13 each.

CPR classes must be paid for before the session occurs as we are not able to accept payment at the actual class. Please also note that the student is responsible for choosing the correct class for his/her needs. Class descriptions are listed below. We are not able to offer a refund if the participant chooses the incorrect class. Please call the Wellness Center at 715-307-6060 for class schedules and fees.

• Heartsaver AED - This class is designed to teach the layperson how to respond to life-threatening situations in which a person can no longer breathe or circulate blood on their own.
• Heartsaver First Aid - This class is designed to teach the layperson how to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive.
• Health Care Provider - This class is designed for persons involved in providing basic life support in a health care setting.
• ACLS/BLS Recertification - This course is for health care providers who already have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
