Welcome to the Allina Health Human Research Protection Program

The Human Research Protection Program, through its Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), is charged with reviewing and monitoring human subjects research conducted by Allina Health employees or agent or conducted in Allina Health facilities. The IRBs also serve as Allina's HIPAA Privacy Boards, and in that capacity they are charged with reviewing the use of HIPAA-regulated Protected Health Information (PHI) for research purposes.

Allina Health has two Institutional Review Boards: Allina 1 and Allina 2. In addition, the Allina Health Human Reserch Protection Program has engaged Quorum Review IRB to review commercially funded studies conducted by Allina Health employees or in Allina Health facilities. (Please refer to the IRB Forms page for more information.)
