Speech therapy support groups

Losing the ability to communicate effectively can bring about a profound sense of isolation. By participating in a support group, you'll have a chance to learn from others who also have swallowing, voice or communication problems. You can find out what has worked for them and get help with your unique issues.

Local support groups

Courage Kenny Grad School

A free lecture series for patients and their families coping with the effects of a stroke. Each session includes a presentation by experts from Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute on topics related to recovery and daily life after a stroke.

Alzheimer's disease support groups

The Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association sponsors support groups for caregivers, families and those with early stage Alzheimer's disease or other progressive memory loss disorders. Most groups meet monthly without fee in and around cities in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.
