Outpatient comprehensive amputee clinic

Located at Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute—Abbott Northwestern Hospital or United Hospital and staffed by a physiatrist, physical therapist and prosthetist, to address concerns related to:

• mobility and self-care
• fit/function of current prosthesis
• pain, swelling
• depression or anxiety
• return to work, driving or hobbies.

This clinic assures conformance with all administrative requirements such as K-level determination.

The clinic will also provide education and necessary care to prevent secondary complications such as skin problems and joint contractures.
