Phillips Eye Institute’s Pharmacy Department is both a full-service retail pharmacy and a specialty ophthalmic pharmacy. This means, in addition to providing medications to patients while they are in the hospital, the Pharmacy can also provide all types of prescription medications directly to patients and the general public.

Pharmacy staff is responsible for reviewing all medication orders to ensure that each patient’s medication therapy is rational, cost-effective, safe and appropriate. It serves a key role in communicating clinical information to physicians and staff and provides important counseling to patients to ensure medications are administered as safely as possible.

The pharmacists at Phillips Eye Institute are specially trained in ophthalmic medications with a focus on compounded medications. We provide the most comprehensive ophthalmic pharmaceutical services in the Upper Midwest.
