Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute's experienced occupational therapists help children and adults live as independently as possible. Everyday activities often need to be relearned following an illness or injury.

Therapy sessions may include help with eating, reaching for items, grooming and dressing and using adaptive techniques or equipment.

Our occupational therapy kitchen has all the utensils and appliances found in most homes, so our staff can help patients overcome real-life challenges.

The spacious ADL bathroom means there is plenty of room to practice getting in and out of the shower or bathtub and using the toilet.

Patients receiving occupational therapy at Courage Kenny can expect an individualized treatment plan, coordinated with other therapies, such as physical or speech therapy if needed. We also provide education to help promote healing and prevent injury.

We offer a wide-range of occupational therapy services, including:

  • hand therapy
  • lymphedema management
  • activities that promote independence
  • splinting
  • adaptive equipment and techniques
  • home safety assessments
  • mental health functional group sessions
  • upper extremity strengthening and range of motion treatment
  • fine motor control programs
  • rehabilitation after stroke
  • home health therapy.
