Sister Kenny Sports & Physical Therapy Center opens in Apple Valley Medical Center

APPLE VALLEY, Minn. 01/13/2012--A new Sister Kenny Sports & Physical Therapy Center will open on Monday, January 16 at the Apple Valley Medical Center, located at 14655 Galaxie Avenue in Apple Valley. It replaces Integrated Medical Rehabilitation (IMR), whose contract expired at the end of 2011.

"We are proud to welcome the Sister Kenny Sports & Physical Therapy Center to our facility," said Mike Foley, administrator and chief operating officer of the Apple Valley Medical Clinic, one of the other providers at the center. "We know they will offer our patients and the community high quality rehabilitation services and complement the wide range of health care services already available at the Apple Valley Medical Center."

Ryan Smith will transfer from the Sister Kenny location in Cottage Grove to become the Apple Valley site coordinator for the new facility. Sister Kenny has also hired a number of former Integrated Medical Rehabilitation therapists in order to maintain consistency for patients.

Services offered by Sister Kenny Sports & Physical Therapy Center - Apple Valley will include:
