Allina's Buffalo Hospital partners with new emergency physician group

BUFFALO, MINN. 01/25/2012--Buffalo Hospital has added another professional partner in health care: Suburban Emergency Associates, PA. Lead by experienced, board certified emergency physicians, the group will provide medical direction and staffing for the Buffalo Hospital Emergency Department

"Suburban Emergency Associates has a proven record of positive, collaborative change in Emergency Care," Jennifer Myster, president of Buffalo Hospital said. "Ten years ago they assumed leadership of the emergency department at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee. Since then the department has shown consistent, impressive improvements in patient outcomes, wait times and patient satisfaction."

Under Suburban Emergency Associates’ leadership, St. Francis’ emergency department has been consistently ranked in the top 10 percent in patient satisfaction in the country, according to Myster. The patient first philosophy is at the center of Suburban Emergency Associates’ mission.

"Dr. Jeff Hill and I had worked at a large Twin Cities' metro hospital for years, and agreed that to provide outstanding emergency care, the department needed to concentrate on the patient needs first—short waits and quality care. Suburban Emergency physicians began seeing patients at Buffalo on January 1. So far, they are pleased with the arrangement.
