New phone numbers at New Ulm Medical Center Jan. 13

New Ulm, MN 01/11/2012--New Ulm Medical Center (NUMC) has outgrown its old phone system and will install a new, updated system. The new phone system will allow a greater capacity for additional phone numbers as the medical center grows and continues to increase services to the region. As of Friday, Jan. 13, all hospital phone numbers will change.

All new phone numbers will begin with the '217' prefix and will retain the '507' area code. The following is a list of new numbers for frequently called departments:

Clinic appointments: 217-5011
Clinic nurse message line: 217-5013
Psychiatric outpatient: 217-5168
Virginia Piper Cancer Institute: 217-5562
Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute: 217-5173
Heart of New Ulm: 217-5945
Birth Center (OB): 217-5333
Patient Services: 217-5150
NUMC Foundation: 217-5188

The phone number for the Winthrop Area Clinic will be unaffected by this change and will remain 507-647-8000.
