Learn how to improve your heart health with Kowalski's and Allina Health

EAGAN 01/25/2013--Tips for living a heart healthy lifestyle and sampling heart-helping foods will be featured at store events hosted by Kowalski's Markets and Allina Health on Thursday, Feb. 21 at the Kowalski's Market in Eagan.

The event feature Allina Health cardiologist Courtney Baechler, MD and vice president of the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing, and Susan Moores, RD, Kowalski's nutritionist.

"The severity of heart disease is well understood, but what is even more important to know is that everyone has the opportunity to reduce the chances of, or possibly even prevent, it from developing," said Courtney Baechler, MD, cardiologist and Penny George Institute for Health and Healing. "According to studies, up to 90 percent of heart disease is thought to be preventable mainly through lifestyle choices such as exercise, good nutrition and stress relief."

Improving Your Heart's Health will present what's new in heart health, what you can do to help your heart stay well, what questions to ask your doctor and more. Attendees will also sample tasty foods that have great heart-helping benefits.
