Library Services selects and provides access to knowledge-based resources that meet the clinical, business and research needs of Allina-affiliated providers and employees. Allina physicians and staff can access the full selection of library resources from the AKN Library Services site (network or remote access required). All resources are available on the AKN without a password.
The majority of the resources require Allina network access to use. Accessing Library Services from the Links menu in a remote Excellian session is another option for full access. For more discussion of remote access, see Remote Access. The links listed below are some of our commonly used resources.

Over 5,000 journals are indexed for inclusion in MEDLINE. It is possible to limit searches to core clinical or to nursing journals, articles with specific publication types (such as randomized controlled trials or systematic reviews), or in many other ways.
